Basic Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass with relative high water content. When this mineral heated up to 900- 1100 Deg C. it will be expands 15 to 20 times of its original volume & foam a granular, as combined water evaporates and create a light weight tiny bubble.
Densities (Kg/M3) | Available in a range of 30- 190 Kg/M3, Typical Compact density range from 55-75 Kg/M3 |
Granular Size | It varies from 4 to 1.2 mm Depending on Grades |
Thermal Conductivity | 0.01 to 0.06 W/m K ( Depending on Density & Temperature) |
TEMPERATURE RANGE | – 273 Deg C to 1000 Deg C |
USES: |
|
When Perlite is expanded by exposure to rapid controlled heating (About 900 Deg C ), its volume grow up to 20 times than original volume and this physical transformation makes expanded perlite, which is a low density thermal Insulator. Structure of Expanded Perlite consist of millions air cell. Through a proprietary process these particles are bonded together with special inorganic binder and reinforced fibers , molded and backed.
Densities (Kg/M3) | 192-224 |
Standard Size | 900x 500 mm |
Thicknesses in (mm) | 25, 30, 38, 50, 63, 75, 88, 100 |
TEMPERATURE RANGE | Up to 650 Deg C |
